Praying the Rosary - A Voluntary Challenge

Mike led all who chose to in a lesson on praying the Holy Rosary. This is something that he likes to do as often as he can, as it gives him time to think and allows him to strengthen his relationship with God. Praying the rosary allows us to reflect upon the important events in Jesus' life here on Earth.

There is a special way to pray the rosary. For many of us, this was a truly new learning experience, or at least a refresher course that kicked off some thick layers of rust...

To begin, the rosary is tied to the Holy Mysteries, which delineate important events from the life of Jesus here on Earth. A different set of five mysteries is to be reflected upon depending on which day of the week it happens to be. We were praying on Saturday evening, so we meditated on the Joyful Mysteries.
