This year's retreat returned to the Raven Rock Lutheran Camp, in Sabillasville, Pennsylvania. We also traveled here for our Spring Retreat in 2002. It is a pretty cool camp, set in the foothills of Pennsylvania's Appalacian Mountains, only about an hour-and-a-half ride for us from Arlington, Virginia.

Our youth group was able to take advantage of most of the facilities here. We were the only group here for the weekend of March 5th through the 7th. We first tried the ropes course on Saturday afternoon, but a flash rainstorm postponed that until Sunday morning -- we all got soaked also! We built a huge bonfire on Saturday night after Mass, with a view that overlooked Ski Liberty. Also, the guys tried to get the camp dogs to float on makeshift rafts all weekend long. Too bad the dogs were just a tad bit smarter!
